Kenmore invests in properties where it can identify added value opportunities on an asset by asset basis through joint venture vehicles and development opportunities that have strong market demand.
Founded in 1986, by current chairman, John Kennedy, the initial focus of the company was the development of office schemes in Glasgow and Edinburgh. The early 90’s saw a diversification into trading standing investments, while continuing to purchase properties with development potential.
Strategy
The rapid growth of Kenmore's portfolio, which exceeded £1.7 billion at 31 July 2007, and the associated profit levels has been achieved by employing the following strategies:

- Leveraging of the group through the use of joint ventures and co-investment vehicles.
- Building excellent standards throughout the organisation with clear lines of authority and decision making supported by efficient management systems.
