Kenmore secures planning for 650,000 sq ft Wiltshire Technology Park
Kenmore to develop a 650,000 sq ft business and technology park in Corsham
20 March 2008
Kenmore Property Group, in a joint venture with Ark Continuity Ltd, has secured a resolution to grant outline planning permission from North Wiltshire District Council for the development of a business and technology park in Corsham, to be named Spring Park.
The former MoD site, totalling 30 acres is located just off the A4 in Corsham, Wiltshire, in close proximity to Bath and Chippenham and has been master-planned to provide 650,000 sq ft of Grade A office space and high security data centre accommodation.
In a unanimous decision, Councillors approved the application for the business and technology park after receiving representations of support from Corsham Town Council, Corsham Chamber of Commerce and the South West RDA.
Kenmore Development Director, Daniel Williams, commented:
“We are delighted that we have the support of local and regional bodies for the development of Spring Park. Spring Park will comprise a combination of offices and data centres and is expected to create up to 1,500 quality local jobs for Corsham and North Wiltshire.
“We will now focus on agreeing the outstanding issues with the Council whilst building and strengthening our relationships with local community groups who will form part of the development’s future.”
